| JanetK I really appreciate you! Thank you for your pearls of wisdom! I understand about not wanting to do the homework for the newbies. LOL! I was always the Nurse who would give New Grads some Grace and patience, pointing them in the appropriate direction. I worked with many who wouldn’t raise a hand if the New Grad was drowning. There’s an old saying....”Nirses eat their young”....and I’ve seen it far too many times. I have shamed colleagues more times than I can count for it too. My Momma raised me to be independent, helpful but not to be used, and to treat others with respect. I’ve lived by that, other than when someone forced me to “get out of character”.
