I took a hunter safety course when I was 10 years old, my brother was 14. We went to the armory a couple of nights a week for about 2 hours and brought our own rifle and had to be in a case. They taught us all about the rifle, shooting it, taking it apart, and cleaning it. There were about 20 of us in the class back in the late 70s. No big deal at all, no permits, no age restriction. Guns need to be appreciated and respected for what they are. |
