Me too. This would have made for a good detective story. But...

"meet the broker from San Bernardino and the buyer investor here on the central coast."

..sounds to me like a local notary Was contacted. Local to the client who may have been in the area. When I was signing I had two LOs drive up from San Diego, 4 to 5 hours, late at night to be there at the signing. I was 15 minutes away. Yes, there was a big commission at stake. I just had a same size commission as Cheryl's loan close and decided to leave the NSA alone, who missed three easy to spot signatures. I wasn't too concerned as we've all been there and had to make quick u-turns. The notary was quick, got corrections made, and that was the easy part. I may have had a stroke or two as it was overall an extremely complicated loan to process. Funding went smoothly and I started my three-day weekend discovering Chick-fil-A. The world is right again. Smile
