I was thinking the same thing, Linda. Some states don't even require the notary to have a bond. Why would a UPS Store notary carry (or even know about) E&O? Plus, it's a service offered by the store owner - wouldn't the store owner be liable if there's a problem? As I recall, that's why FedEx stores stopped offering notary services - they got dinged a couple of times for liability. |
