Best to ask title on how she signs, however the certificate is your responsibility, even if prefilled, doesn't matter. If they prefilled it out as both names, both names are not on her legal ID, so I would cross out, and initial, and just keep her legal ID name on your portion of it. She can sign as shown, however, but you only know her as Mary L. Jones and only notarizing Mary L. Jones per ID, that is what you are notarizing. Each state could be different, but that is what I would do
Their old Typo from "L" to"I" is not your problem, you cannot validate that in any way shape, or form legally. jmo
