Many of the above answers are wrong. Carla made the smart choice by turning it back.

In Pennsylvania, the face page, the signature line and notary block all must match or the recorder won't record. You don't notarize "according to the id" as stated above. You notarize how the printed/signed name appears. They must provide id in that name. We do have pan telling us in the round about way we need to be certain who they are. I agree it was probably originally a typo but if there ever was a time for utilizing a somewhat grey area, should you be so inclined, a deed that transfers real estate and a large cash out, would not be the time. There are ways to correctly use and word a Corrective Deed, a quitclaim deed is a sloppy, , no thought, easy way to get it done.
