But there's no signature spot on the passport card. On the book, the signature lines are on the page just above the photo but are very light and not easy to see if not signed or not looking for them.
The CA DMV will accept the passport book, but not the card. That was just a year ago so if CA is consistent with state agencies across the board, I would think that's the way the cookie crumbles for CA notaries too.
But what ever each state allows...it's good for each person to know.
As for I.D. on the passport book, that's another chapter in the saga. Between signature, DOB, photo and nationality (country of origin) on the passport book that must be suitable enough I.D. for CA. No one is going to pull out a scale, or tape measure. Even photos can be sketchy. Check your state's requirements. |
