Yes, Lulu, I gave the edited version of my situation with collecting from the title company but my situation was a 9 month ordeal from the time the signing occurred and I was paid. I never write anything off, I intend to collect one way or another, no matter how small the fee. I keep a file on every communication I make with the ss or title or anyone related to the signing.
I too with my first communication to title informed them I knew it was not their responsibility to pay me, title folks were always very nice. And in fact with title, I ask also if they were aware the ss had not paid several notaries, they informed me of the sob story ss boss had fed them, the difference, they believed it. I delicately shared with them and forwarding a few bits and pieces of information I had gathered along the way about the ss and the person that of course most on this board certainly knew his reputation 2 years ago.
All of my exchanges with title were always pleasant, professional and handled calmly on both ends. They were great.....but they too were taken by a fool and con artist. |
