HaHa! I do remember the Champaigne Concierge Notary but let's remember, he was mocking mobile notaries, not really trying to add to the community. I'm terribly sorry to have "broken the rules", that genuinely was not my intent. I truly just wanted to share a tool I have discovered that is helping me compete head on with the convenience of RON. My thought was perhaps if moblle notaries would take this approach, we could make ourselves a lot more copetitive to technology while at the same time beoming much more efficient and prosperous. I guess I missed the mark.
I want everyone to know that I was back at it today walking the halls of the capitol taking meetings with lawmaker offices talking about the dangers of RON and how we can better protect our consumers. Now that AB 199 is dead, I am pushing an amendment that would make it illegal for an out of state notary to perform an online notarization for a California signer. Everyone agrees that we need this amendment and I am working hard trying to secure a lawmaker to take it up. I’ll be back in Sac again on Monday as well.
