others handle situations like this.

All of my direct clients know my fees and pay accordingly. However, there are occasions that the favorites will ask for a fee reduction because of a special client or something else is going on. This is done prior to accepting the assignment.

And yes, more often than not the notary fee on the CD is more than mines.
