Under normal circumstances, I'd agree with you - but not this time. When you say you HAVE to work, you're saying that your need to make money today is more important than risking someone else's life (or perhaps your own). And this time, it's not hyperbole [i.e. an exaggeration to make a point]. Someone could literally die because some notary decides to take a signing appointment. Think about that for a while...
And if people believe their area is different, they're kidding themselves. We likely won't have any idea of how far this has spread until 2 weeks after it's already happened. Further, this isn't about trying to shame anyone. It's about trying to change their minds!
We all make choices about lots of stuff every day - including how we work and how we manage our money. I get that this is a much tougher choice for some than for others, no doubt about that. But when it comes to life or death, to me it's a no-brainer...
