I still get texts and emails from a variety of sources and I see plenty on a regular basis that are at $75. I'm not even sure if it's SD or somewhere else, I just delete them. It's not worth the time to bother finding out.
What amazes me is how many of them are for locations at a distance that I don't cover for any fee, let alone $75! So it appears that if some companies can't get a job filled, they just increase the radius, casting a wider net, rather than upping the fee. That makes no sense - at least from the notary's perspective - as it just means more time/gas expense, lower profit margin (if there's even any left). But I guess they wouldn't bother to do it, if they weren't getting results. Boggles my mind... |
