Some free advice to newbies

After they took your money, sold you a whole lot of things you never will need, paid for hiring companies that do not produce, here is the real deal.

Nobody will mentor you or take you as the 3rd wheel to a closing. It's illegal
Nobody will tell you what to charge
Nobody will review your work or call you back saying "great job!"
Nobody will teach you where to sign yourself up at looking for work
Nobody will do your leg work to see if you can even do loan closings in your state. Some are attorney only.
Did they tell you about your proper equipment?
Did they tell you that your availability is highly important?
Did they mention don't quit your day job?
Did they mention that with RON and flood of newbies entering and working for less, our once offered fees have been greatly reduced?

Truth be, WE (those who made it) make it look easy. WHY? Because we were all newbies once, we took our hard knocks and learned by trial and error and making mistakes we have to fix along our way. There is no easy shortcut, and we all worked hard not to give you one if you asked. It has to be earned.

After you have been it for years we finally found our "groove" and make it look flawless. It's not easy, we are just exceptional at what we do.
Attitude and personality are EVERYTHING, problem-solving, common sense, and taking pride in your execution are all key factors in loan closings. You need patience for late packages, late people, dirty houses and personality conflicts with signers and their pets at times. Not to mention traffic, weather, detours, car problems, and dark nights where you cannot read house numbers and people don't answer their phone when calling them when driving around and around...or stick atthe gate and no code to punch in.

The XYZ pushes our profession as an easy way to make money with little effort. YouTube videos tell you that 6 figures is easy, and make it all sound so real...it's not and that's a lie. They make their 6 figures by selling you a line of BS, and in the beginning, newbies suck it in, buy everything they sell that makes no hill of beans and wasting money you didn't even make yet. They fail to disclose the truth after they took your money.

I hope this helps those struggling. There is nobody to give you an olive branch. It has to be figured out and earned on your own. You can do it, we all did, it's just hard and takes a lot of hard work and perseverance to stay at it.
