They are completely out of line.
Had something similar some years ago from a TC demanding to inspect my journal as a prerequisite to be added to their approved database. In writing, I respectfully declined and referred them to California Notary Handbook (citing the appropriate sections). After some back and forth with corporate (with them saying other notaries comply, etc.), they eventually waived that requirement and added me to their approved list. |
