Not legal but in the beginning, we were told "it's ok". I never did this, nor would do it at any closing I am under control of.
I did a few "car closings" where I had to at title, stand at the car door, watch them sign, stick my head in there for questions, (which defeated the purpose) had to endure the car heat and exhaus and stand there for 45 minutes. HORRIBLE!
Not anymore, since I talk them into going upstairs where we clean and have plexiglass. Here, everyone is over and done, and we have loosened the reins considerably.
