I'm pretty young and don't have any known/obvious underlying health conditions, so I plan on working as much as I can for the foreseeable future. I can't afford not to. Honestly... I'm more concerned about the safety of my clients than I am about my own safety. I had mobile notary appointments with two extremely elderly (90+) clients last week. Neither has left their home in almost a year.... I consider it a privilege and a huge responsibility to be permitted to enter their homes, so I take it all very seriously.
I wear a mask and face shield to every appointment. Lots of hand sanitizer. Also, nitrile gloves and disposable shoe covers. I wipe down everything in my bag with a Lisol wipe between appointments and put my bag through the wash every week or so. When I get home, I take my shoes off at the door and walk straight to the laundry room to put my clothes in the washer.
