Since no one yet knows for sure whether or not someone who has been vaccinated or had Covid themselves can still get infected (again) and transmit the virus to someone else, that concerns me. Every expert I've heard interviewed has said that it's important for us to still continue to take the same precautions, whether or not we think we may have antibodies. (Perhaps that's because this vaccine works differently than others used in the past for other illnesses. DK.)
I hope they find out that these concerns are unwarranted. But if they find otherwise, people being complacent and giving up on taking preventive precautions could lead to another resurgence of infections. The more lax the population as a whole is about prevention, the longer it's going to take to put this completely behind us - if that ever happens. |
