Rather than saying the vaccine does not provide immunity, I would say the question is whether or not the vaccine creates a type of immunity that will act so swiftly that the exposed person will not be able to pass the virus on to others. This question is not answered yet, and might turn out to have different answers for different versions of the vaccine. It might also depend on which strain the person is exposed to.
But the action to take is correct; continue to wear masks and socially distance. |
