Today I drove 40 minutes deep in the Berkeley hills (which I usually don’t do but ss accepted my fee) to sign with an angry white man. Said angry white man’s name on loan docs is John F. Doe. When I arrive to check Id his license states John Doe. I refuse to notarize and he throws a white man tantrum like I’ve never seen. Then when I offer them to find 2 credible witnesses he yells and screams in more tantrum activity. This is the biggest tantrum I’ve encountered in 5 plus years of doing this work. Wow. Happy women’s day yikes!
Venting but also asking to you fellow notaries:
I’m a CA notary. Has anyone taken an id where the middle initial is absent and the docs have it (that is where there is less info on the id than the docs?). Thank you for any comments and input. Or would you? For me I feel this is risking my commission bc if it comes to a court of law and it shows I couldn’t answer how I know his middle initial is “f” as this is pure speculation - hence why I left tantrum boy.
