We all know the dangers of assuming, so I hope it's correct that you have a dual commission, i.e. a separate commission to notarize in each state... In my state, that's not even allowed.

[Because there are so many new notaries coming here all the time, I'm always concerned about someone jumping to conclusions from a stray comment they read on this forum, and being able to notarize in more than one state I believe is the exception rather than the rule. Wink]

As for having a separate journal, I agree with Cheryl. Different laws, different requirements, so probably a good idea to keep everything separate.
