I would add to also try to keep answers to questions short and to the point, whether in person or on the phone. You can talk as long as you want afterwards, but as WE all know, not only do we have other appointments to get to, we also have deadlines for dropping docs, sometimes scan-backs, etc.
Having said that, I usually like having the LO present for the reasons Bear gave. I also think it's important to maintain our professionalism, but to view them as an ally rather than an adversary. Typically, I'd rather control the signing myself, especially if I don't know the LO, since we may have slightly different priorities for that appointment.  |
