It's okay, it's a lesson learned. It's hard to turn it back, and they will get mad and never use you again regardless. It's not your fault, and not your fault you cannot accommodate because of that. EVEN if they raised your fee, that doesn't buy you the time needed to go back and scan as instructed and meet your next appointment, so they'd still do the same thing.
I perhaps would have told the signers they cannot move the location because of distance and you have to return and scan unless they move it closer to your location and suggest a McD's close to your house then.
I think we all have been there at one time or another. The bottom line is you sail your own ship, and you tell them what you want or they can find someone else. it's your business and your calender.
You can fight it by emailing the LO title and all involved except the signers and proving it was recorded and you are expecting payment. If they are from the same state, you can take them to small claims for the heck of it. THEY have to go to you then.
They are expecting you to just go away like a mouse...Bottom line, they will never use you again anyway, go for your money! |
