You're probably right. They're about the only ones, though, in a position to make a difference in what kind of a law we end up with, specifically, whether or not it produces a process that's not only workable for lenders, but also for notaries and the public. In my view, that would have to include requirements for rigorous security measures. It would have been nice to see some evidence that they at least made an effort. But I suppose that would be expecting too much... |
