I was mentored on jailhouse notarizations decades ago by a Bail bondsman. Usually, the document signed by the inmate is a POA so don't forget your thumb inker. ID? Each inmate is issued a wristband with a name, booking number, photo, and DOB.
For collateral for the bond, a Bondsman also needs a deed of trust with the assignment of rent signed by the inmate's sponsor. This is a way to get extra business from assignments.
