I found that same information and it didn't convince me. I am familiar with the DoD ID information, although it doesn't apply in this case since she has a CA DL as her ID.

I let the TC know about the woman's claim and they said it was OK that she was not providing a copy.

At least she has valid ID and understands I will need to see it in order to notarize her signature.
