This is why I don't do signings any more. It's not that I won't, it's just that it's so rare that a company will pay me fee that I pretty much never do any loan signing work.
I had an offer come through my email a few weeks ago, it was for a "partial claim" (which I have no idea what that is). It was a 45 minute drive each way, a plethora of instructions that I had to comply with, print docs at my expense, notarize however many times required, and the fee was a whopping $20. I wouldn't even do it next door for that fee. I'm moving on to other things. These companies that pay a pittance can deal with the garbage work product they receive back. |
