for free. One specifically comes to mind, the signer was in the last days/hours of life. While I have had those situations come up plenty of times, this was was different and I left without charging for my services. It was a very emotional appointment and the daughter was insisting on paying me. I decided not to accept payment, these were not people of large financial status. I received a message a few days later after the passing of the signer and my gesture was very much appreciated. We all get to decide when to or if to ever provide free services.
It hasn't happened too often, but it has and I am happy that I did.
