| I was recently contacted by another notary in my area. He is not a newbie. He sent an e-mail to several notaries in my area, noting the decrease in call volume and asking us what we are saying to companies that are asking us to reduce our fees by $10 - $15 to $60 or $65 including e-docs. That means his fees are $70 - $80. I e-mailed him back that my fees were approximately double what his are, and since I do get those fees (even though call volume is down) I was unsure which companies he was referring to. After exchanging a couple of e-mails with each other, it was clear to me that he had no idea that it was possible to get $125 - $150 for a single loan signing. Now he does. |
