What do you know about accounting? You short people, you can't or won't research what you have paid nor send photocopies to support your alleged payment -
I can find all my stuff immediately, whether it was in my shoeboxes when I first started out or in my accounting programs as I progressed. But, the joke wasn't for you, it was for the young lady I conversed with on the other thread. Even her reply indicated it was an organization tool and the beginnings of the accounting system. The principles are in place whether one continues with their shoebox, or file folders and ledgers on to todays sophisticated computer programs. Believe it or not, I worked in accounting when Sears still had all their customers on ledgers and we computed interest via adding machines so don't be so surprised to discover that the modern age is very young...and this was in the late 60's and since I left, I don't know how much longer before they computerized their books. |
