Although the selective reading of the law by Dems and opponents would have you believe that the law requires voters to subject themselves to possible ID theft, the actual law is not that stupid. It makes for a great soundbite and scare tactic to portray it as such, just as the claim that "no one can give voters in line any water or food" does. It seems easier for opponents (media and Dems) who don't actually have any logical arguments against the new law to push outright lies in order to drum up outrage for a made up issues than for them to just report the actual facts and find something else they can use to promote the Democratic party agenda.
