The new GA voting laws, not exactly what the Dems claim
Posted by Moneyman/TX of TX on 4/1/21 12:50pm Msg #78275
Although this report is written in a way where the author is trying to say some of the changes are negative, he actually undercuts his own attempts by being factual and stating exactly what the new law does, not what the opponents (i.e. Dems and those on the left) claim the new law does. Opponents like Biden have claimed that the new law cuts the voting time on election day from the normal 7pm to 5pm and that no one is allowed to offer water to voters in line, both of which are lies that this article makes clear simply by stating what the bill actually does say (or actually does).

This is a PBS/NPR linked report, so you already know it is, at the very minimum, from a left of center point of view. However, even with that being a known factor, after reading this report, anyone should be able to see just how the Dems and their media mouthpieces are playing people to gin up outrage and continue to manipulate people for their own political gains.

Repbs have some issues, but to compare this new law to Jim Crow and call it voter suppression is not one of those issues. Especially since NY and DE (Schumer & Biden's home states) will have early voting for the first time in the 2022 elections. NY will only have 8 days and DE will only have 10 days before the election for early voting. Talk about manipulating people, they are crying bloody murder over states making changes to their 3 weeks of early voting or states that have had early voting for decades while their home states have never allowed it at all, what nerve they have.

CA requires an ID before a person can even register to vote, is that not a form of a Voter ID law? If someone doesn't have an ID they can't even register, therefore, they cannot vote! So what is the BFD if states choose to ask for ID when casting a ballot for these hypocrites? These type of gin up the outrage political games are played by both major political parties, and as long as we, the public keep falling for them and never hold them accountable because they are "our party", they will continue to divide the American public and keep us fighting each other and not them.
