You are correct, 3 buses of about 130 people. They were originally going to NYC on Sunday AND were alerted and expected there, but the weather kept them from going further, so this was their emergency stop.

I guess they would have rathered that they risked their lives driving further north regardless of the weather and then be criticized for sliding off the road or getting stuck and freezing to death.
