issue? You can't say you "take top secret (or classified) documents seriously" (i think he means the security of them) if you have them in your possession and then now claim that you knew nothing about them. With that kind of top notch level of security, how can we be sure that there were not other classified documents that were once in his possession but at some point have been removed by someone else?
If no one knows which, and how many, classified documents he had, how can anyone say that whatever number the WH finally admits to that have been "found" is the actual true number of total classified documents he left office with? Even Biden himself cannot truthfully say.
Paige, your point regarding his claim that "staffers" packaged them up is also a very valid point; what security clearance level did these "staffers" have at the time they were handling top secret documents? Common sense would dictate that they could not have all had the same level of clearance he did, or still does if it is the still the same, at the time.
As far as anyone claiming with 100% certainty at this point that his staffers were "only moving boxes", or anything else akin to that, and they didn't see the documents, give me a break! Can we take a step back from trying to push along the obviously made up talking points that don't even make any sense at all? If they didn't pack them, then .... HE DID, DUH!
I have heard others bring up the fact that no one, supposedly, even knew he had them, or even, what documents exactly he had. This goes to the lack of tracking and security of the original keepers of the documents. Not just for any Democratic or Republican President or VP, but for anyone who removes any Top Secret, or any level of classification, document, why is there not some paper trail of who "signed them out" and when they are returned already in place? Hell, it appears that even a Dollar Store retail establishment has a better inventory tracking system than our federal government. Geez! |
