"Hey, you want to slam down a warm one?"
I can think of more places in CA that sell beer warm than cold: discount grocery stores, Wal-Mart, Target, CVS, Trader Joe's. Plenty of places to get it cold too. Can't buy it warm or cold between 2 and 6 am.
In the old days beer was kept cool in cellers, deep wells, or holes draped with wet burlap. Grandpa made and stored his beer in the celler.
We brought a couple of engineers over from England and put them up in a hotel. In the evenings they would buy beer and leave it on the counter to drink warm. The next day when they returned from work it was put in the refrigerator!
Warm or cold, one thing most people have is a good beer story. |
