Even if it is not required for the Notary to "see it", you should still ask to see it. I learned the hard way why taking Title's word for it isn't good enough. I did a RM. A copy of POA wasn't with the package. Daughter had a POA from Mom that she signed 25 years ago. This POA was from the old family lawyer who had since died. Mom was no longer able to sign anything now. On the day of disbursement someone in Title noticed that the daughter name was misspelled on the POA. Everything hit the fan. All I'll say was that It was a mess to clean up
