"I find I'm doing more fact checking than ever before," said Janet. Me too, Janet. When the loss of a Texas-based icon was announced on FB last week, I didn't believe it. This time, the fake news wasn't fake. 
As you know, I don't lean the way of Snopes--I'm somewhat the opposite. Proof: Have been a little down all weekend over the loss of said icon, but proud of some things that have gone on in my town this weekend in response.
I find Snopes to be quite reliable for myth busting. I can appreciate the work they do on investigating reporting. I can also look at the sources presented and make an informed decision.
They haven't let me down yet...on the important stuff...you know...like about Big Foot in North Texas and so forth.  |
