JanetK_CA asked "So are you saying that the digital 'description' of the file entry (not the file itself) is referred to in the digital world as a 'notarization'? If so, I wish they'd come up with a completely different term. It could lead to lots of confusion."
In PART of the digital world, the digital description of a file COMBINED WITH a timestamp is being called a notarization. It proves the document that corresponds to the digital description must have been created before the date and time specified in the timestamp.
Increasingly, in other parts of the digital world, a notarization is an enotarization. |
