So is a 'message digest' created for any blockchain document? This is my whole point. It sounds like some folks are calling something a 'notarization' even though no actual Notary Public has been involved in any aspect of that document creation/execution. And from what I'm reading, it doesn't seem like that type of 'notarization' involves anything about identifying a signer or determining willingness and competence.
IMO, this is the biggest concern about conflating these two processes and calling them the same thing, when they clearly are not.
