So are you saying that the digital 'description' of the file entry (not the file itself) is referred to in the digital world as a 'notarization'? If so, I wish they'd come up with a completely different term. It could lead to lots of confusion.
Before I read the above message, I was thinking that maybe these guys are starting to use the term 'notary' in a generic rather than a literal sense, kind of like calling all tissues Kleenex. (Or maybe that's the same thing?) There's enough confusion in the world about what a notarization is to begin with. It'd be a shame to add even more to the confusion.  |
