Yes we are guilty as charged in "hand holding" - we like to call it being proactive and full communication between the notary and our clients. I am not sure if you read some of the other posts that I have made, but we pride ourselves in letting notaries know when their docs are posted, we make sure that they have arrived to the appointment safely, and when they leave. We remind them to do the close out report and we document just about everything.
According to where you live, we do not have the highest fees in the industry or the lowest. But we can attest that we have paid every notary to date (based on our pay cycle)
Cheryl you post every time you work for a company or only when you are hired by a new company?
Yes we have had meetings about boosting our ratings. We feel that our pay cycle is fair 30 - 45 days (please remember the person that does a closing on the 1st gets paid the same time that the person on the 15th gets paid - that means that there is a 15 day gap, so the person on the first is waiting about 15days longer that the person on the 15th) Checks go out like clock work - we cannot control the mail. We offer a FREE direct deposit which cuts down on mail time. People get antsy after 18 -20 days and they start calling our office and say they are "chasing their money". Cheryl do you think that it is fair if a company has their payment policy posted on all of the instructions for the last 15 years and a notary calls BEFORE the check is due demanding payment?
But to answer your question yes we are trying. Besides changing our pay cycle, do you have any suggestions? |
