I totally understand your concerns, but I took some time to break things down a bit. I will list any thing that is 3 stars and lower.
2008 - 0
2009 - 3
2010 - 8
2011 - 12 (average of 1 issue per month)
2012 - 11 (less than 1 per month)
2013 - 25 (this is when we implemented the deduction for the closing report - it did not help our ratings at all - this is probably the year that hurts us the most but still average of 2 a month)
2014 - 9 (less than 1 per month)
2015 - 8 (less than 1 per month)
2016 - 7 (on pace to be 1 per month)
Total 85
With that said, please take away all of the ones that say things where the notary does not really need to rate us because our fee is low...they should just not accept the signing. I dont mind if a notary says that are fees are low, but that is not a reason to give a 1 star rating.
(1 star - I read the posts and dodged a bullet)
(1- star - they called me with a low ball fee)
(1 - star - 30-45 pay cycle)
I counted about 15 to 18 "questionable" ratings...lets just say "15" that would be a total of 70 comments in 9 years and some of those 3 comments believe it or not were favorable.
That would be an average of 7 a year. Like I stated before ... we are not perfect, but we try our hardest and all notaries are not forthcoming with the entire truth. In that time we have closed over 100K loans.
Example: If you closed 100 loans for a company and you missed 1 signature, and that company went on line and bashed you stating that you were the worst notary on the planet, you would say "I missed up 1 closing out of 100" ........All that we are asking is that you look at the BIG picture. Thousands of closings per year and we are graded on 7-9 comments.
Please do not be quick to judge - because everyone has missed a signature or 2.
