I just ignore them and leave them as they are. About six companies have sent them to me during my six years of signings. Only one called me, once, about not completing one. It sounded like I was being castigated for not completing a required document. All documents were completed, satisfactorily, so there was no problem with the package. When I asked for what reason the form was to have been completed, a young thing who obviously knew nothing about acknowledgements and jurats, explained that it was "just in case" it was needed. When I explained that completing such was illegal, and it as illegal for her to ask that I do so, she backed off and agreed that, since the form was not needed in that case, that all was well. I suggested that she find an experienced notary public in the company to further explain the issue, in case she was again asked to participate in an illegal act. She seemed a bit befuddled, yet also seemed to take it as intended, as a way to better understand her job and perform it in a completely legal way. |
