"it as illegal for her to ask that I do so"? I know CA has a law saying it's illegal to knowingly ask a notary to perform an illegal notarization, but I wonder what law would make it illegal elsewhere.
I probably stated my concern incorrectly, for AL does not have a law, of which I'm aware, stating that it is illegal to ask a notary public to perform actions such as creating acknowledgements and jurats which are not directly related to a linked document. It just seems that if it is incorrect, wrong, not ethical, then it should be illegal. No big deal, just a poor choice of words on my part. Illegal or not, I do not complete those forms and include them, unless there is an obvious need. |
