Well bright and early this morning I contacted TC and explained the situation, the first representative says, " just send to couple B most signers do not open the package before the notary arrives. well, I told him not going to happen! The package is addressed to them and when I receive packages with my name on them I open it, also being told to not open would probably make them more prone to wanting to see what was enclosed. I told him that I was going to send the documents back to TC and they could work it out, because I was told at the closing table BO's did not want NPPI shared with the other couple. Representative then states that this needs to close on Monday and if I send docs back to TC the BO's would be required to pay a fee to extend their rate, so I told him it sounded like he needed to get off the phone with me and contact BO's before 3:00pm today because that was the last pickup for next day air. TC calls back says they spoke with BO's and the were sending me a label to ship docs directly to 2nd SA and that she was instructed to only present docs that couple B needed to sign. I then conferenced in BO's, obtained their consent to record the conversation with myself and TC (2-party consent in Illinois). The BO's did not want to pay the extra fee to extend rate and agreed to me sending docs to 2nd SA. As promised I labeled and separated the documents so 2nd SA will only present docs that require couple B's signatures. I then contacted the other SA just to confirm she was contacted by TC and was on the same page. What a saga!!! things like this keep us on our toes. |
