its more of a precautionary measure on my part, as I used to work for DCFS here in Chicago for many years in child protection unit.

If they can't come for whatever reason, I don't insist upon it, as long as one of the parents come with the child's birth certificate and their identification documents, I write this information on the travel form.

I used to see so many horrible things happen to children while working for this agency, and ever since, I've been a very strong advocate for children.
