20/20 hindsight is easy, but I'd like to think that I wouldn't have done it, either. I certainly wouldn't have accepted the signing for $100 in the first place. I don't know how many I turned down yesterday, but it kept me available enough towards end of the day to accept two direct signings that paid twice that much each. (No faxbacks requested.)
I know that doesn't always happen, but it's the choice I've made for my business. Fortunately, I have enough other stuff going on so that if I ended up spending the evening at home (and watching the debates - which is a whole other subject I won't go into... ), I would have been content to do so. For me, it's about not stressing in these situations. At this point in my life, I've decided that it's just not worth it. |
