It's how people view the job.
As many of us know, the lower offers are not only being snapped up by newbies; dual-income folks, retirees (with maybe only grand kids to babysit!) and people in related industries are accepting these signings. They're not geared towards a "career" and don't see notarizing documents as a job to earn a living at.
People have all sorts of ways I suppose for justifying how they are willing to spend their time. I, for one have no issue with companies reaching out to a notary to witness 6 or 7 documents for $60. BUT no way will I be the notary acting as a Signing Agent to a title/real estate firm, doing their printing, admin, couriering for that!
