Jacob took the night off, he decided at the point he went on "personal time". Me, I wouldn't answer the phone, as I am off. Worse answering and sounding drunk, and hearing bar noise in the background, then not to pick up.
I would maybe check in later and apologize for missing their call when sober and quiet.
