Not available is not available, period. I don't drink, but I have gotten calls when I was at ball games, church, meetings etc that I did not answer at all or stepped outside to answer and told them I was not available at that time.
Since we are independent contractors, one of the perks is we can take time off when we choose to for whatever reason.
Jacob was "unavailable" during that time and that is all that he had to say.
