FYI, SnapDocs (SD) isn't the entity offering you the assignments, it's simply a software platform that's used by other companies who are the ones trying to hire notaries. Unfortunately, SD has chosen to charge their clients on a per signing basis and most companies who use their services have chosen to take that fee out of what they pay us, even though it may allow them to reduce staff for scheduling, etc. Not good for us or our businesses.
If you look more closely at those emails, you'll be able to tell who is doing the hiring. Your gripes 2 & 3 kind of go with the territory in this business, sometimes - at least that's what signing services will tell you. There are good companies out there whose clients also have their act together, but they're likely looking for experienced notaries. Getting started in a downward market can be tough, especially if you're in one of the more saturated areas of CA, like me... If not, then you'll have a better shot. |
